Here's my story
Early days
My journey into computing started early. It was around the age of six when I wondered how I was wilding the power to make little Mario run, hop and fly to rescue the princess? I knew the magic had to be inside the Nintendo Computer System.
This curiosity made me want to open and peer inside all of my favourite tech and toys. I enjoyed looking at the complex circuits and cables and marvelled at their design. Don't worry! My elder brother helped me put most of them back together again.
My understanding of computers and technology kept growing. Once I completed college, my amazing sister and life mentor pushed me to take my educational journey to the next level!
Education
I believe a good education is the foundation of a wholesome life. It not only nurtures us but prepares us for the challenges ahead. I embarked on my journey to becoming a UX designer during my studies at the University of Westminster.
My first degree taught me the history and possible future of computer technologies and how it is all interconnected. It taught me that technology is pushing the human race to new heights.
My second degree taught me the importance of research in all its glory and why it was everything, finding solutions to create powerful interactive tools for real-world application using science-based design principles.
I realised that the learning never stops. I apply myself to a multitude of learning objectives. I am now at a stage in my life where I can observe, innovate and understand the world around me through the lens of a UX Designer.
Employment
My keen interest in a wide range of subjects has helped me stay curious, open and flexible. These personal attributes have been essential to my diverse knowledge, wisdom and social network.
I enjoyed my work at the University for the Creative Arts as an ICT Advisor. The university has helped me develop my skills as an IT professional and an academic staff to support students, using creative applications and finding solutions to their problems.
To gain more experience in the design world, I have been freelancing as a UX Designer. I would now like the opportunity to work within a creative team designing 3D technologies, AR, VR environments. I prefer to work on agile projects with a quick turnaround. My main priority is to work for a company that is helping both the environment and humanity.
